Health and Wellness 3-Part Series - Understanding Alzheimer's Disease
  • These workshops will be moderated by The Alzheimer Society of Toronto and are provided FREE of charge

  • Thrusday March 15 at 7:00 p.m.
    • UNDERSTANDING ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE and OTHER DEMENTIAS
    • The first workshop provides an introduction to Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
    • Find out about the signs and symptoms and risk factors of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
    • Also in this first workshop, we look at the changes we can make in our lives in order to reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease & related dementias.
  • Thrusday March 22 at 7:00 p.m.
    • EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATING WITH A PERSON WITH DEMENTIA
    • The second workshop builds off of the first session and will provide some tips and tools for individuals to help them communicate more effectively with a person with dementia.
  • Thrusday March 29 at 7:00 p.m.
    • REDUCING CAREGIVER STRESS
    • The third workshop provides help to family caregivers learning to cope with the stresses of care-giving and focuses on linking caregivers to supportive services in the community
